Why isn't there an international symbol for Language?

I browse the internet a lot. A lot of people do. Most of the time I stick to English websites, but occasionally, I find myself on a website that isn't in English. Obviously, the word for "Language" is usually different from language to language, so this made me wonder, why isn't there an international symbol for language? It could be the one thing always recognizable on the internet, the symbol of a button that you could press to translate everything else, or at least the basic content of the website. Sure, Google Translates some pages, but lets be honest, their translations don't always make sense. For websites that carry content in multiple languages, like Wikipedia, an international symbol for language could make things a lot more simple.
